Reasonably exciting competition gives adequate results

Winning t-shirts: Adequate

Winning entries: Adequate

The three winning entries for the Wobbly Block’s Reasonably Exciting T-Shirt Competition have been announced.

Amanda from Surrey (in the south), Peter from Hull (in the north) and Shawn from Missouri (in the United States) all submitted slogans that were subsequently deemed to be adequate enough for victory by the judging committee. For their prize, all three will receive a t-shirt bearing their winning entry which, under the legally binding terms of the competition, must now be worn at all times.

A special mention and corresponding t-shirt also go to Liz from Bedfordshire, who submitted a winning entry prior to the launch of the shop.

All four winning t-shirts, along with many others, are available for only £7 from the Wobbly Shop.

Extreme pioneer swimmer and environmental campaigner  Lewis Gordon Pugh is set to announce details of his latest aquatic expedition after becoming the first person to swim up Everest.

Having also successfully swum in both the Arctic and the Antarctic, it is has been widely reported that the London-based maritime lawyer’s next challenge will involve him swimming 139km across the Lake of Solitude (Lacus Solitudinis).

As usual Pugh will make his attempt under Channel Swimming Association rules, meaning he will be limited to wearing just a pair of swimming trunks, hat and goggles.

In spite of such testing conditions, swimming on the moon should not present too great a challenge for the 40 year-old, who has written a book entitled Achieving the Impossible. Helping him all the way will be various members of his extensive support team including Hugh, Barley, McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub.
